1. General Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Code Vise services, including monthly subscription website packages and one-time lump-sum custom-coded website projects. By engaging our services (whether via subscription or a one-time project), you agree to be bound by these terms.
All websites we deliver are custom-coded according to the agreed scope. They are not WordPress installs, template themes, or generic page builders unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- Scope of service - website development, hosting, and maintenance
- Account responsibilities - you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- Acceptable use - our services may not be used for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
2. Billing Terms
Subscription plans: Billed monthly in advance. The following terms apply to all active subscriptions:
- 12-month minimum commitment - all plans require a minimum 12-month commitment
- Setup fee waived - the one-time setup fee is waived when you commit to a plan term
- Billing cycle - monthly billing on the same date each month
- Payment terms - payments are due on the billing date; late payments may result in service suspension
3. Cancelation Policy
We believe in fair and transparent cancelation terms. Here's how cancelation works:
What happens when you cancel
How to request cancelation: Submit a written request to us at least 30 days before your next billing cycle.
Notice period required: 30 days' written notice before your next billing date.
What happens to your site: Upon cancelation, hosting and domain services will be discontinued. However, you have options:
- Buyout option: Purchase the full rights to your website code and content.
- Transfer option: Transfer your domain and site content to another provider.
No lock-out: We do not hold your site hostage. Your content is yours.
4. Lump-Sum (One-Time) Projects
For clients who prefer a one-time payment instead of a subscription, the following terms apply:
- Scope — Work is performed according to the written quotation or statement of work. Additional features outside the agreed scope may incur extra charges.
- Payment — Typically 50% advance to commence work and 50% upon delivery / before final handoff, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Ownership — Upon full payment and delivery, the finished website (code, design, and content created for the project) is owned by the client. Domain and hosting for the first year are commonly included and then transferred or renewed under the client's control.
- Revisions — A reasonable number of revision rounds are included as defined in the quote. Extensive redesigns or scope changes after approval may be billed separately.
- Post-launch support — Ongoing maintenance, hosting, and support after the project can be added later as a subscription or separate maintenance agreement.
5. Liability & Disclaimers
Code Vise provides its services "as is" and makes no warranties regarding the availability, reliability, or performance of the services.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free performance
- Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the preceding 12 months
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify existing clients via email of any material changes
- Post the updated terms on this page
Your continued use of our services after changes constitute your acceptance of the updated terms.
