Cancellation Policy

At Code Vise, we believe in transparency and flexibility. This policy outlines how you can cancel your subscription, what happens after cancellation, and your rights regarding your website and data.

1. How to Cancel

You can cancel your Code Vise subscription at any time by:

• Email: Send a cancellation request to hello@codevise.solutions
• Contact Form: Use our contact form to submit your request
• Phone: Call our support team during business hours

Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 30 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.

2. Notice Period

We require 30 days' notice for all cancellations. This ensures a smooth transition and gives us time to prepare your website files and data for handover.

• Month-to-Month Contracts: 30 days' notice required
• 12-Month Commitments: Early termination fees may apply (see Section 6 below)

3. What Happens After Cancellation

Upon cancellation, we will:

• Stop billing your payment method immediately (after your final paid period)
• Provide all website files including code, content, images, and database exports
• Transfer domain ownership to you or your preferred registrar (domain transfer fees apply)
• Provide migration instructions for moving your website to a new host

Your website will remain active until the end of your paid billing period.

4. Data Ownership

• All website files and source code
• All content, images, and videos you provided
• Database exports (if applicable)
• Domain ownership and transfer credentials
• Login credentials for any accounts we created for you

There are no exit fees or data hostage charges. Your website belongs to you.

5. Domain Transfer

Domains registered through Code Vise can be transferred to your preferred registrar. We will assist with the transfer process.

• Domain Transfer Fee: Standard registrar transfer fees apply (typically PKR 500-1,500)
• Domain Release: We will release your domain within 7 days of cancellation
• One Free Year: If your domain is within its first year, there is no additional charge

6. Early Termination (12-Month Contracts)

For clients on a 12-month commitment plan, early cancellation may incur a setup fee buyout. The buyout is calculated as:

• Example: If you have a PKR 20,000 setup fee waived with a 12-month contract, and you cancel after 6 months, you owe the remaining 6 months of setup fee pro-rated.
• Month-to-month contracts have no early termination fees.

7. Refunds

• No refunds are provided for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access to your website and services until the end of your paid period.
• No refunds are provided for setup fees, domain registrations, or third-party services already paid for.
• Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances (e.g., service failures).

8. Data Retention

After cancellation, we retain your data for 30 days to allow for any transition needs. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted from our systems unless you request earlier deletion.

• You can request immediate data deletion by contacting us
• We will confirm deletion in writing

9. Reinstatement

If you wish to reactivate your subscription after cancellation, you can do so at any time.

• Your website files will be restored if they are still available (within the 30-day retention period)
• A small reactivation fee (PKR 5,000) may apply for restoring from backup after 30 days
• Domain re-registration may be required if your domain expired

We will confirm receipt within 24 hours and guide you through the process.
